One keystroke (/) opens a quick-switcher palette over every open tab in every window. Type, hit enter.
Smart suspender
Auto-discards idle tabs to free RAM, with a domain whitelist and never-suspend rules for pinned, audible, and form-filled tabs.
Auto-grouping
Tabs of the same domain quietly collect themselves into colored groups once you cross your chosen threshold. Or do it manually.

Tab lock (no close)
Lock any tab and it can't be accidentally closed — if it is, TabSmarter immediately reopens it at the same window, index, and group.
Password lock + overlay
Drop a blurred lock screen over any tab or whole domain. Per-lock passwords, salted SHA-256, stored only locally.
Casual deterrent — not vault-grade.Focus Mode
One toggle stashes every non-pinned, non-locked tab into a session, leaving you with just the one you're working on. Toggle off to get them back exactly where they were.
Tab Snooze
Close a tab now, reopen it in 1 hour, 3 hours, tomorrow at 9 AM, or any custom time. Survives browser restart.
Share tab collection
Generate a self-contained data: URL listing your selected tabs. Recipient clicks it, gets a polished page with "Open all". Zero server.
Activity timeline
Searchable rolling log of which tabs you opened and closed, capped at the last 1,000 events. All local — clear it whenever.
Auto-save on exit

We are very deliberate about scope. The list of features TabSmarter has is long; the list of things it refuses to do is also a feature.
